Diane Vere

Diane has had a varied and successful commercial career to Director level with international companies including ICI/Astra Zeneca (chemicals/agrochemicals), Deloitte (consultancy) and Sainsbury’s Supermarkets (Retail Performance Director).

She has extensive line management experience in UK and company-wide international roles including sales, marketing, PR/advertising, research targeting and project management) and as a business strategy/performance management consultant.

Her experience includes working with clients in diverse areas in addition to the main sectors given above, including manufacturing, professional/financial services, banking, cosmetics, music entertainment, media, space research, construction, high technology, information technology, sports equipment, utilities and public sectors.

Since Diane qualified as a coach in 2002, she has worked with managers and leaders at all levels, from MBA and Executive MBA students at London Business School through Heads of Department, Directors, Vice Presidents, Senior VPs, Managing Directors to UK Executive Main Board and global Executive Committee level. She coaches leaders in all functions including sales, marketing, operations, communications, supply chain, finance, human resources, legal affairs etc.

Diane works with a wide variety of clients, not only in UK but also in USA, Canada and Europe. She coaches to achieve a range of objectives that is as varied as the leaders and the teams she coaches and specialises in two areas:

  • Coaching UK, international and global, high potential and senior leaders to make a step change in the way they operate and accelerate career progression,
  • Coaching to achieve significant and sustainable behavioural change.

Diane coached global high potential and senior leaders for Microsoft as part of their Excellent Potential, EXPO and Senior Bench programs for four years. Since 2007 she has coached global High Potential and senior leaders for Avon Products Inc. USA (Cosmetics and Beauty Products) as part of their Accelerated Development Programs. Since Spring 2011 she has been working with Google’s high potential leaders as part of their global coaching program. She is also working with Lenovo as part of their World Class Coaching Program for their high potential senior leaders (Directors and above). Other clients include: Automobile Association (AA), AOL, Acushnet (Golfing), Astrium (Space research), Barclays, Bayer CropScience, BBC, Bell Mobility (Canada), Carphone Warehouse, Centrica, Cognis chemicals, COLT Telecommunications, DTZ (Property), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Kier Construction, London Business School, Royal Bank of Scotland, Seabury Aviation Consultants, Sony BMG Music and TalkTalk.

In 2002 Diane gained her qualification as a Professional Executive Coach with The Work Foundation/University of Strathclyde. She is a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming and is a qualified Hogan and Myers Briggs practitioner. She is a member of ALEXCEL (USA) and is a full member of the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC Canada).  She is a Senior Executive Coach (SECI) with the European Coaching Institute and a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). She coaches MBA and Executive MBA students at London Business School. Diane also develops leaders to be coaches e.g. Royal and Sun Alliance and Goodyear Dunlop Europe.

Diane is a linguist by background and has a BSC (Hons.) in French and Russian with German. She has an acute awareness and understanding of cultural difference having had significant experience of managing international assignments mainly in Europe and USA but also involving people from all over the world.  Diane works mainly in UK, however, over the last few years has coached leaders from over 20 different countries: Bulgaria, former Yugoslavia, Canada, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain and Sweden and USA.
