Joy Ferguson

Joy is passionate about enabling senior leaders and teams to excel. She works with them to make major breakthroughs in achieving change and the powerful resolution of issues.

With an impressive track-record and aiming for a world-class standard, she utilises her extensive coaching expertise combined with an understanding of the dynamics of the business world so leaders can operate at their best. Joy’s aim is to enable key players to extend their capability, removing obstacles and unleashing potential for organisational and personal success.

Joy’s corporate career was primarily with BT plc and Dun & Bradstreet. She held a variety of line management positions within Finance, Procurement and HR. In both organisations she played key roles in change initiatives and company-wide re-engineering projects. During her time with BT she was specially selected for an extensive programme in Coach/Trainer/Facilitator development and she worked as an internal Change Management Consultant regularly coaching directors and working closely with the MD and senior board. This gave her a high level of understanding of the business imperatives facing leaders as well as the skills to help them rise to the challenges that confront them. Because of her depth of experience, she rapidly establishes credibility with leaders.

Having set up independently 16 years ago, Joy has been a highly successful coach. She has worked in many global, multi-cultural settings including GSK, Johnson &Johnson, KPMG, BT, Atkins, , John Lewis, DSGi, Shell, Tesco, Harley-Davidson, Transport for London, Blackwell’s, Molnlycke Healthcare, Skandia, Dun & Bradstreet and Nielsen. She takes a systemic approach to her work to maximise the ROI for both the individual and organisation. In her coaching Joy works to:

  • Provide clarity, focus and direction, driving strategic thought
  • Establish outcomes and a ‘road-map’ for achievement
  • Deepen understanding of significant thinking patterns
  • Give honest, direct feedback
  • Confront constructively, challenging self-limiting beliefs
  • Offer new perspectives, strengthening ‘enablers’ to success
  • Free up mind-sets, enabling adjustment to different contexts

  • Galvanise and support action
  • Increase resilience and unleash fresh vigour
