Below are some examples of the programmes we have developed and delivered recently.

Coaching

Ascentia was engaged to deliver a coaching programme  within a FTSE 100 Financial Services organisation. The client needed a partner to provide 360° feedback, create personal development plans and leverage business and people capability of 70 leaders and their teams to meet performance targets in a four session coaching programme.

Through the coaching programme we supported the client in developing the leadership capability of Area Directors to lead teams, focus on key performance indicators and deliver the aggressive targets. Our project management tracking ensured that all coaching appointments took place. We introduced a way of working (Feedahead®) that broke down previous cultural barriers and promoted more creativity and ideas generation.

360 Feedback

Our client, a major European Government-owned banking organisation, engaged us following the client’s annual Staff Survey which highlighted key issues such as Performance Management, Career Development, and Reward and Recognition which all demanded proactive attention. An organised HR response to employee surveys had never previously been conducted.  An employee contract working group was established as an outcome of the 2009 staff survey.  A group of 15 members was formed including several staff from international offices and  Ascentia were appointed to guide the group to examine in depth the findings of the survey and to develop a set of specific, realistic and actionable recommendations related to employees’ main concerns.

The client needed a partner who, within a demanding schedule – just over six-months, could help plan the tasks and develop the group to present actionable recommendations to the organisation’s Executive Committee. Ascentia provided additional operational support with technical input, design and execution of supportive surveys during the period.  The project was delivered to client satisfaction and on time, quality and budget.

Following this successful pilot scheme we were engaged further and recently delivered a 360 Feedback programme to over 300 managers within the organisation, the results of which are dramatically reshaping the culture of feedback and appraisal within the organisation. .

Talent Development

A Financial Services sector client commissioned Ascentia to support senior managers with the appropriate skills and development tools to develop their direct reports. The previous in-house designed talent management programme had delivered few tangible business gains and Barclays wanted the managers to take more responsibility for their personal development.

Ascentia designed and executed a series of Talent Development workshops to train HR team members and line managers in how to have development-focused conversations with their direct reports in order that high performance and potential within the managers’ teams could be identified, managed and developed, resulting in improved performance, motivation and retention. The programme was evaluated very highly (88%) with participants fully understanding the power and impact of effective talent development.
